Everything had returned to normal since my last experience and a end of year camp trip was planned. We were really excited to travel to eastern Oregon and fish the three mile.
We ended up camping at two different campsites along the river and it was at the second location on the last day that we encountered those footsteps again. It was a normal day, and our third night at our current campsite. We had gotten to know another family during our stay and spent most of the day together, talking and swimming and cooling off in the rec room. After an evening swim we told our new friends to come by our tent later that night since it was our last night there. The sun had set, the stars were bright, much brighter than back at home. Completely lost in conversation and letting the time slip past us, we began to hear footsteps. They were pretty far away from the tent, so at first we payed it not mind, but as we continued on we noticed it began coming closer. That was when we thought it was our friends, but as the steps grew closer an eerie silence fell. The energy was ominous, and something screamed inside my head to run, so I unzipped the tent as fast as I could and grabbed my friend by the hand. We ran full spread across the campsite and into the woman's bathroom. There was gravel outside the bathroom door, we listened. Then the footsteps began again, pacing, back and forth, steadily, like a cat waiting to pounce I couldn't take it anymore. I don't remember if there was a lock on the entry door from the inside, but I do remember telling my friend, to get in one of the furthest away stalls and hide. Gathering up as much courage as I could, I walked back to the main door, swung it open fast and hard screaming "what do you want!" Silence. Looking outside the bathroom door there stood nothing but trees, no person, no animal and the footsteps where gone. I closed the bathroom door once more and decided to wait a little longer, to see if whatever could have been out there, would return, but it never did. My friend and I decided to wait about ten minuets before walking normally back to our tent and trying our best to go to sleep for the night. Day break finally came and I woke up to the sound of the wind through the tree that stood near by, we had finally made it I thought. So we got up, gathered our toiletries and headed off to the restroom to get ready for the day. This was when I was stopped right in my tracks. Standing before the set of bathrooms, stood a gravel lot an empty gravel lot. No tree's, no forest like I had seen the night before upon swinging the door open to confront our mystery walker. To this day it baffles me what all of that could have been. A time slip? my imagination? sleepy hallucinations? Who knows.

When I was young, I had my best friend stay for a sleep over. As I mentioned in the previous entry, our night sky was perfect for star gazing. So we set up our lawn chairs, brought out some snacks and decided to wait until nightfall. Now let me say, this was nothing that I really feared doing and I know the following was no act of my imagination.
The blue hour came and we were both still talking away, that was when I heard it. Behind our lawn chairs set my parents very large rock garden, there were small stepping stones within the rocks they had spent years finding and gathering. Now let me say, footsteps sound much different than in gravel or river rock, these rocks make more of a scrape and tink sound. That was exactly what we heard but it sounded like multiple feet walking all around behind us. We froze, stared at each other, to afraid to turn around looking behind one another, seeing nothing. Finally we were able to break our scared trance and run, we ran up the hill to the front of the house, since the back door was locked, slammed through the front door and made a mad dash for my bedroom on the top floor, where we shut the door and just sat for a minuet. Neither of us could figure out at all what in the world had just happened, all we knew was that we left the lawn chairs and snacks outside but honestly we didn't care and had no plans on going back out until high noon the following day. Once the dust had settled and we were laying on my bed talking about school and other every day things, my friend became startled and buried her head in one of the pillows. It was the strangest behavior and it took me quite a good bit to get her to talk to me. When she removed the pillow from her face she was in tears and obviously afraid, this was very out of character for her as she did not normally cry or really even get scared. However she was finally able to tell me that she saw a hand in my bedroom window, slowly wave at her, one finger at a time. I immediately looked to the window and saw nothing, so I rushed over and pulled my blinds and then my curtains. Now let me say as well, this was a two story house, we were on the top floor, no one could reach my window without a ladder. It had been quite the eventful evening and we had really hoped that our excitement was over, little did we know we would have another similar experience a short time later that same summer. Growing up out in the country our light pollution was about 2-3 on the bortle scale, so sky watching was done almost nightly, with so much to see. I remember vividly a couple very interesting observations I made starring out my bedroom window as a kid, when I was supposed to be going to sleep.
My father had taught me the difference between stars and planets; satellites versus planes and my grandfather the constellations. I still hope to this day, that I will one day be able to get a telescope as the night sky has always fascinated me. One evening after the sun had set and it seemed that it was as dark as it could get, something caught my eye. A light that blinked ever so slightly, slowly moving to its right, I watched it travel slowly and then it just stopped. I was not sure what to think of it, maybe my eyes were playing tricks on me. So I went to bed and the very next night I looked out to where I had seen the object the night before, only this time it was moving to the left, which I found really odd, so I watched it as long as I could but began to feel uneasy so I decided to shut my curtains and go to bed. It was on the third night that my mind was blown, curious to see what the object would be doing again I looked out my window, there it was, only this time it traveled diagonally down to the right and the shot off, up and to the right never to be seen again. It left me with a feeling, like it was never even there, it was just gone so fast, I had never seen anything like it. I could not help but feel on that third night, the creepy feeling return. It felt as if I was being observed as I was observing it. Now maybe this is just a child's imagination and not understanding what it was I was experiencing but it has stuck with me all these years. There was also a second time that I was observing the sky, in the same spot out my bedroom window, that I saw one more odd object. I should mention that with the first observation, the light was red but in this second observation the light was a white-blue. Unfortunately I don't have to much to say about it, other than it traveled in a Z type shape, around the same part of the sky and then just disappeared, it did not fly off, it was as if its light just went out. I had to have been around 10 or 12 at the times of these events, so it is hard for me to remember where the constellations where located on that side of the house and to the best of my ability I believe it was around the end of summer, right before school was to start. I have a couple closure encounters however, that I will share in an upcoming entry, that hopefully one day I can find answers too, as I have always been scared of it happening again. One of my earliest memories, I had to have been around two or three years old. I was at a babysitters in the living room staring out a large patio door, overlooking miles of farmland and a large lake.
As I sat there, silently, I remember thinking "I have been here before, in this human experience." I knew what reincarnation was, even though technically I shouldn't, as these were pretty intense thoughts for a toddler. I have many memories of my past lives, now as an adult. Through dreams and guided meditations is how I was able to attain these memories. In one life, I was a German soldier. It was during the war and I was checking an apartment, I entered the apartment thinking it was empty but I was shot in the back by a fellow soldier. There was a round table in the middle of the room that I remember crawling under, thinking I will just pretend that I am dead, but I did indeed die. In another life, I was a wife in Sweden with 7 children and in another I was a Shaman in a tribe, but I am not sure from where. There have been many things I have worked through energetically as our karma follows us through our lifetimes and as I continue this journey I know that more lives will be revealed. If you have ever been interested in learning about your past lives there is a meditation you can do, google The Hall Of Akashic Records and there is a lot of information that comes up. I am sure as well, that I will come back and share any new lives that I end up discovering. |
